I am a developer and I know the development world. The technologies change very often so the developer needs to adapt to the changes.
To write a blog is a way to get updated because you need to find new subjects to write articles about and new ways to solve common problems.
When you want to write about something you need to read and study it deeply. For this reason you will read a lot and you will be motivated to continue learning and working.
